Warm Weather Shipping Policy

At Half Nuts, we want it to melt in your mouth, not in your box! Warm weather mixed with candy or chocolate can lead to a hot mess. Even snack mixes with chocolate or yogurt-covered pieces can melt during shipping. 


Delivery Guidelines

Ship to an attended location
: Deliver your package where someone can receive it immediately and keep it in air conditioning (e.g., a business or commercial address)
Do not leave outdoors: Leaving your package outside for even a short time is never recommended. 
Tuesday shipping schedule: Orders containing heat-sensitive items ship on Tuesdays to prevent packages from sitting in warm transit hubs over the weekend. Ice Packs & Packaging Option
Free ice packs:
We provide ice packs free of charge to help protect your products.
Shipping weight: The ice packs are free, but their weight will slightly increase your total shipping cost,
Insulated Styrofoam packaging: For maximum protection, call us to upgrade to an insulated package for a small fee.  
UPS Next Day Air requirement: Ice bricks and Styrofoam provide the best protection but are only used with UPS Next Day Air shipping. 

Out-of-State Shipping (Outside Wisconsin)
Automatic Next Day Air:
Adding an ice brick to an out-of-state order automatically triggers UPS Next Day Air shipping.
Ground shipping alternative: If you prefer to ship without ice and Next Day Air, you may manually select UPS Ground service.
Long-distance risk: Packages traveling long distances via UPS Ground will be exposed to regional weather conditions along the way. Check the US Temperature Map to see conditions in your area.

Out of Stock Products
We make every effort to ship your entire order together. However, some items may occasionally be backordered. If an item you ordered is unavailable for immediate shipment, we will contact you to discuss your options.

Damaged, Late, or Lost Packages
At Half Nuts, we want your order to arrive perfectly. However, once a package leaves our facility, we cannot be held responsible for carrier delays, damage, or theft.

If something goes wrong, we are here to help! Call us at 414-476-6887 so we can look into it. If your package is lost or damaged, we will file a claim with the carrier and send a replacement order as soon as the carrier approves the claim. If your package arrived damaged, please keep the items and all packaging materials so UPS can inspect them.
Delivery dates are only guaranteed for UPS Expedited shipping. We cannot offer refunds for orders that do not arrive on time via UPS Ground.

Shipping & Claims Policy

  • Liability: Half Nuts is not responsible for lost, late, or damaged deliveries caused by shipping carriers.
  • How to Report an Issue: Call us at 414-476-6887 if you have a delivery problem. We will contact the carrier to track or locate your package.
  • Damaged or Lost Packages: We will file a carrier claim for lost or damaged items. Replacements will be reshipped once the carrier accepts the claim.
  • Inspection: Please keep all damaged products and original boxes. UPS usually sends a driver to inspect them.
  • Delivery Guarantees: Delivery dates are only guaranteed for UPS Expedited shipping. Refunds are not provided for late UPS Ground deliveries.

Returns

Thank you for shopping at Half Nuts! We strive to provide excellent service and quality products. If we make an error with your order, we will gladly resend it and cover all shipping costs.

Important Return Policies:

  • Customer Errors: Half Nuts is not responsible for shipping costs or credits for items ordered by mistake. Please review your cart carefully before purchasing.
  • Product Questions: If you have questions before ordering, please email us at info@halfnuts.net.
  • Return Window: Returns must be initiated within three (3) days of delivery, as verified by your UPS tracking number. No credits will be issued after this timeframe.

Cancellations

You may cancel or change your order if you call us before it is processed. Because Half Nuts strives to ship every order within 24 to 72 hours, please call us immediately at 414-476-6887 to request a change. If you return your order, you will be responsible for return shipping and a 15% restocking fee. For orders over $500.00, cancellations made after 72 hours cannot be refunded if a product has already been ordered and cannot be canceled.
